Carlos Garcia Portillo
Maestro Carlos was born in the state of Guerrero, Mexico where opportunities for education and employment in his community are minimal. At a very young age, he moved to the state of Jalisco where he encountered the process of tequila making and was fascinated by it. Working in different production facilities, Maestro Carlos immersed himself in this wonderful world of tequila, prompting him to thoroughly study it until he became a Maestro Tequilero. After working for different producers, he decided to create his own brand, Tequila Pispireto produced at Tequilera Santa Teresa where he is a partner. With its name and logo, Tequila Pispireto represents the cheerfulness, the nobility, but also the virility of a Tequila of excellence.
