Aamira Garba
Aamira Garba is an award winning winemaker born and raised in Orange, NJ. She is a proud & dedicated careerpreneur, currently working as a Marketing Executive in the tech industry. But after finally reading “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, Aamira knew she had to stop searching for happiness in her 9 to 5 and begin to create the life of her dreams. She knew she loved wine and enjoyed learning about it in the very little free time she had. She quickly realized that learning about wine and wine culture brought her joy. So, in 2016 she made the decision to pursue entrepreneurship while working full time to launch LoveLee Wine, a brand that allows her to follow her passion for wine culture while creating a lane for more black women to enter the Wine & Spirits industry.
Aamira is an accomplished winemaker whose wines have been recognized in VinePair as one of the top 50 wines of 2021,and top 25 Pinot Noir of 2021 (the only black owned brand on the list). Her story was also recently featured on Forbes.com. LoveLee Wine was named Wine Brand of the year and Aamira named Innovator of the Year/Who's Next at the 2021 Wine & Culture Fest. Aamira has been featured on numerous wine blogs and podcasts including the Swirl Suite podcast and NJmom.com as the MOMpreneur of the week. She is a Roots Fund Scholarship recipient and a member of the JJL chapter of the Hue Society. In Sept. of 2021 she passed her WSET level 3 certification with distinction and enjoys teaching newbies and winelovers the art of wine tasting. When not wearing her marketing or LoveLee hats, she is a devoted & proud helicopter mom to 2 beautiful girls named Heaven Lee and Lyric Lee. This journey is for them.
