Aamira Garba (34) is an emerging winemaker born and raised in Orange, NJ. She was raised primarily by her grandparents until she was 13 years old. Aamira attended Orange public schools up until middle school. Many teachers and her guidance counselors throughout the years recognized her high level of intelligence and saw that she wasn’t being challenged within her education. These same supporters and advocates went on to recommend her for the NJ SEEDS program. Aamira went on to excel in the program and received a full scholarship to attend Kent Place School in Summit, NJ where she graduated in 2003. She then went on to attend Temple University’s Fox School of Business where she graduated Cum Laude in 2007 with a degree in Marketing.

Immediately after graduation, she went to work as an Assistant Buyer for Macy’s Inc. Aamira worked for Macy’s for 13 years in various roles included buying and marketing. Today, she is a marketing executive for Audible Inc. creating experiences that drive customer acquisition and engagement for the mobile app. When not at her corporate job, Aamira is a mom of two beautiful young girls Heaven and Lyric. While being an executive and mom are both demanding yet rewarding roles, Aamira began to realize she wasn’t fulfilled in her everyday life and wanted to find her true purpose and joy. It wasn’t until Aamira finally read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho that she knew she had to stop searching for joy and just create it. She knew she loved wine and enjoyed learning about it in the very little free time she had. She quickly realized that learning about wine and wine culture brought her joy.

So, in 2016 she made the decision to pursue entrepreneurship while working full time to launch LoveLee Wine, a brand that allows her to follow her passion for wine culture while creating a lane for more black women to enter the Wine & Spirits Industry. LoveLee Wine started as an idea and a belief that people deserve to live life on purpose and with joy. In Oct of 2019, she received her level 2 certificate in wine education from WSET, and is currently pursuing Level 3. Aamira has been featured on numerous blogs and podcasts including the Swirl Suite podcast and NJmom.com as the MOMpreneur of the week.
